Flag Day and Land of Opportunity

Yesterday was Flag Day June 14th…and it is marked in my neighborhood with flags on every lamp post, a parade, and color guard celebration on the high school lawn.

The day commemorates the American flag, Old Glory, standing tall and flying free over American soil for 228 years is the symbol of: Freedom, Democracy, National Pride, and History. Many have lost their lives defending it.

Love Tiffany’s facade on 58th and 5th in NYC.  Yellow Diamonds…their brand identity. The day began with my early morning walking route, from 65th down Madison, cross 5th to the Rockefeller tree and NBC…Bergdorf and Saks windows, Bloomingdales first floor, and Barney’s.  I needed to get my ‘fix’ of holiday inspiration.

Let Them Eat Kale/Carrots…or Cake?

I’m so confused on what to eat.  Too many rules, and too many things to remember.

We have the DETOX foods…I could use those, as you know I love my wine…

They are artichokes, citrus, sunflower seeds, lentils, garlic, red pepper, walnuts, turmeric, cucumber, broccoli.

Then there are the CLEANSE rules…some say juice for 3 days and that washes out the toxins.

Some say no meat for 7 days…(me, the carnivore, craved a piece [...]
