But I don’t like that sink…whah

I need it smaller! Can you find me one?

It has to be changed out…Now!

Because I can!

Really, I need a 3 sink?  After this I should open a restaurant…do I really need to add an expensive grease trap? Making nice with the Health Inspector. Oh the things I am learning…

We are on the home stretch, and it is an intense orbit.  General contractor meetings, pushing [...]

By |June 15th, 2015|Ambition, Career Development, Celebrations, drive and ambition, Education, Family, Friendship, Inspiration, Leadership, New Directions, Opportunity, Passion, Personal Development, Politics, Uncategorized, Women's Issues|

Yesterday was Flag Day June 14th…and it is marked in my neighborhood with flags on every lamp post, a parade, and color guard celebration on the high school lawn.

The day commemorates the American flag, Old Glory, standing tall and flying free over American soil for 228 years is the symbol of: Freedom, Democracy, National Pride, and History. Many have lost their lives defending it.

Flag Day also marks for me [...]

Progress Takes Time

I’ve been busy, thus the lag time in writing my blog.  Everyone said our timing to open beginning June was too aggressive…and now I know why.  Takes more time than we envisioned.  We are a month delayed.  The good news is we have time to to show the space to our friends, whose opinions we trust, to give their ideas and suggestions and brainstorm.  Here is Alan and Pam, [...]

WHY did I go to Texas with 6 girlfriends?  My friend Sally, retail consultant,  coach for young buyers, creative thinker, and brand manager, GATHERED her friends together, those who she thought would be interested in 4 days of shopping for STUFF in a new environment that would explode our mind.

ROUND TOP is 80 miles from Austin and 80 miles from Houston.  Population 90, that bursts with thousands experiencing Southern [...]

OUR STORE IS PREPARING TO BE BORN We are excited…target time line mid-May. Now we are in the pregnancy  stage.  OHMYGOD there are plates spinning (our heads) in many directions. Every day is full of new learnings to the point our head hurts.

So much to do and so little time.  So many decisions to make. So many people to meet.  So many foods to taste. Yumm

It takes a village of [...]

By |January 18th, 2015|Business, Design, Food, Friendship, Inspiration, New Businesses, New Directions, Opportunity, Products, Selling, Travel|

We spent last week in San Francisco for the FANCY FOOD SHOW at the Moscone Center.  1400 exhibitors introducing their newest products for the year, food artisans so proud of their craft, and many that do not go East to NYC for the summer show.  It was all about discover, tasting great food, and building relationships with the nicest most creative Foodies!

Some of our favorites:

Happy New Year 2015-Bring it on!

By |December 31st, 2014|Ambition, Career Development, Celebrations, drive and ambition, Family, Friendship, Inspiration, Passion, Personal Development, Travel|

This has been a very full year.  In 2014 my ‘dance card has been full.’ In other words, I lived my calendar just the way I wanted.  I rarely said ‘no’ to anything.

My traveling started with the mind explosion of Dubai,  cooking and eating my way through Provence and Tuscany, enjoying girlfriend time on the beach in North Carolina, visiting friends in California twice.  I exercised in Mexico, celebrated [...]

Holiday Inspiration or NOT

By |December 18th, 2014|Celebrations, Entertainment, Family, Fashion, Friendship, Holidays, Home Decor, Inspiration, Politics, Retail Stores|

HAPPY HOLIDAYS TO ALL

Love Tiffany’s facade on 58th and 5th in NYC.  Yellow Diamonds…their brand identity. The day began with my early morning walking route, from 65th down Madison, cross 5th to the Rockefeller tree and NBC…Bergdorf and Saks windows, Bloomingdales first floor, and Barney’s.  I needed to get my ‘fix’ of holiday inspiration.

Adrenaline is high walking on 47th St diamond district through Times Square to Penn Station. I [...]

Thankful and Grateful

By |December 2nd, 2014|Business, Celebrations, Family, Holidays, Inspiration, Loyalty, Marketing, New Businesses, Opportunity, Philanthropy, Products, Retail Stores, Selling, Travel|

Magnificence of Nature is Breathtaking at Amangiri Canyon Point, Utah

The Majestic West…appropriately experienced by us just before Thanksgiving. Kept me grounded, in awe, and  THANKFUL to have the FREEDOM to experience beauty with family and friends, and GRATEFUL  for these moments  and shared experiences.

To share this quote from our Thanksgiving table:

Gratitude unlocks the fullness of life.  It turns what we have into enough, and more.  It turns denial into acceptance, chaos to order, [...]
